Looe Boat Owners Association

About Looe Boat Owners

Looe Boat Owners Association (LBOA) was formed in 2002 by local (and not so local) boat owners with moorings in and around Looe with the objective of promoting, protecting, and furthering the interests of boating in Looe and the surrounding district. From a modest beginning the club grew quickly and and although most members have something that floats, boat ownership is not a pre- qualification for membership. Some are social members with no boat at all and others have moved their boats to other locations but remain in the club. All enjoy the sociability that the club provides. The club enjoys close association with Looe Sailing Club, based in Buller Road, Looe, where LBOA hold most of their meetings. There are also close connections with Looe RNLI and with Looe Harbour Commissioners. The Harbourmaster often visits to speak on issues or activities which may be of particular interest.
